Turning a big storage container into a raised garden. good or bad idea?

I went to Home Depot and bought a really big plastic storage container with the idea to turn it into a raised garden bed. We drilled drain holes the size of dimes into the bottom of the container. Then we put a bucket of garden rocks into the bottom so the soil wont clog the holes. From there I was gonna fill it with some good soil and start planting starter veggies into it.

Does that sound like it would work out well? I didnt want to purchase wood and try to build one myself. Thought the container would work too and I’m very hopefull that it will work.

Replacing master bathroom cabinets?

We need to rip out and replace our master bathroom cabinets (dual sink). They are water damaged and have no drawers. We don’t want anything fancy, just simple cabinets with drawers, under sink storage and a simple countertop. The space isn’t that large, 21 1/8 deep and 37 5/8 long. Approximately how much would this cost? Is Home Depot a good place to go to buy the cabinets and have them installed? I don’t want to get ripped off but this is our first attempt at remodeling so we are a bit clueless. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I was wondering how I can make a wooden jewelry box. I wont have access to any machines or anything like that, Im plannin on getting the materials just at my local home depot. A list of materials would also come in handy, if anyone can add suggestions. I want the box to be about the size of a regular shoe box, and nothing fancy, just a box with a lid that opens up, used for storage of keepsakes that include photos, letters, etc. I also plan on engraving something in the front, maybe with a knife, any suggestions to this would also be appreciated.

What will cut out a hole in a plastic bin?

I’m making a feral cat shelter out of two big plastic storage bins: you put one inside the other & fill the space between them with insulation of some kind. But you have to cut a “cat hole” thru both bins. I tried a utlity knife. Then I got this drill bit at Home Depot that’s supposed to act like a saw to cut straight & curved lines. I thought that would work, but it doesn’t seem to at all.

Who sells automatic residential door lock for the front door?

Hope asked:

When my cousin’s bought their house, their front door came with a lock that automatically locked when they leave. The door remains unlocked when they are inside but it is always locked on the outside and needs a key to get in. I went to Lowe’s and Home Depot and the only thing they carry is a storage door lock but it is not efficient for the front door.

Looking for a Barn Style Storage Shed Kit?

GRUMP asked:

Does anyone know where I can purchase a good wood storage shed with a loft in the measurements of 10′w by 14′d by 12′h? I’m looking for a kit which I can assemble myself from a company that will ship nationwide. Don’t want those cheapy metal sheds, looking for wood. Don’t want those plans/blueprints since my carpenter skills are pretty limited. Looked at most companies but the roof heights are only around 10′, need lots of loft space. Something just like a Tuffshed but cheaper. (BTW, Home Depot and Lowes don’t carry sheds with ceilings past 10′ specs on their diy kits). Thanks!!
