my wife and i are renting a house. the home owner has stored 20 plus boxes ,big screen t.v., freezer, sofa and other furniture. should she be accountable for storage fees? we are renting the whole house not a section.

No, they should remove their property — unless the lease says otherwise. You can threaten to terminate the lease due to their breach unless they do.

Where is it stored? In your living room? Bedroom? Kitchen? Closets? Basement?
The owner may have retained rights to the basement for storage. Read your lease.
If it is in other parts of your house, ask her to remove the items.
Asking for storage fees is stupid. Are you willing to take on responsibility for the well-being of her items and to pay her for their loss or damage? Are you willing to pay to have her belongings and your conduct insured? SharonLovesKeyLimePie
