I used to have over 100 pairs and kept the shoe boxes. you draw the shoe on a paper and name them the way you reconize them. like, for example, "brown laces hi-heel", blue flat, or mountain, or "black leather... etc... stick the paper on one side of the box and ligne them on the ground in your closet, stack a second row, and so on... then they are put in a box, you find them easily and have saved space. I had different home each time and hard time to organize it... twice i had a big closet then kept them in the box. do not let them unboxed because you closet will smell... depend of the shoes marika

CCleaner is good as fan4ou says,
but you could also try increasing your pagefile size.
This is an area of your hard drive that Windows uses as if it was RAM.

Don't know your O.S. but right-click on Start > Computer and choose Properties. Go to Advanced (or Advanced Sytem Settings in Vista) > Settings > Advanced > Virtual Memory > Change

If you do change it for drive C don't forget to click on SET at the end, before OK.

But try CCleaner first as it's easier. Jeez

Comment on WD Sharespace - Can’t delete files?! Western Digital Storage Problem External drive. Active Directory? by Ron

We have this problem, too, and a work around, but not a fix. Turns out this device is marketed as a consumer device, and has problems when used as a domain member. Set your Windows Explorer to view the owner along with the other file information in one of the columns. Files that have normal permissions will list the owner as WDShareDrive\Admin (in our case), while files that cannot be deleted will have a very long numeric owner name with a few dashes. We tried changing permissions at the highest network level, but nothing worked. The NAS is separate from our main LAN, and is used as a pool directory, so everyone has equal access and can delete anything.

Our workaround:

We removed the NAS from the domain, which stops new files from having the "bad" owner.. Now, each user has to map the drive, and login as a different user, using the username and password for a common NAS account. These mappings persist on XP and Vista, but you need to login each time on 2000, which your IT person can fix.

To get normal access to the bad owner files, just copy them elsewhere on the drive. The copy will now have all files with normal permissions. Then, drag the old files with the bad permissions to a junk folder.

This can be done wholesale if there is enough room by copying all folders in the root directory to a temp directory. When complete and verified, move the entire root directory except the temp directory to a new junk directory. Finish by moving the contents of the temp directory to the root directory and deleting the now empty temp directory.

Yeah, those pesky files in the junk directory are still there taking up space, but everyone can use the drive normally now.

As some point we will backup this drive to our LAN, reformat the drives using the WD Share utilities, and then restore the data. Actually not sure if we can reformat, but changing the RAID settings says it deletes all data, so switching to a different setting and back may do it. If anyone figures this out please post. Ron

Have the same problem, will post back solution, if I find one.
My setup is not in a domain, but workgroup of 12 clients.
Some files I can save, some I can't.. Really frustrating for my colleagues (and me). Richard

If the new IDE ribbon cable doesn't do the trick, you may have a mobo problem. The southbridge chip on the mobo may be bad. Especially if your having other hardware problems. dvfraz
